CNC PROGRAMMER/SETTER/OPERATOR

40 hour week – (salary negotiable depending on experience)
Pressure Tech requires a highly experienced CNC Programmer/Operator with strong mechanical aptitude and interpersonal skills to support our new objectives of machining components in-house on our new Hardinge/Bridgeport machines. Key responsibilities include:

• Programming, setting and operating Hardinge Twin Spindle lathe with Y axis and live tooling
• Programming, setting and operating Hardinge/Bridgeport VMC with 4th Axis control
• Product realisation by improving machined tolerance and finish
• Ordering raw materials, tooling, and inspection equipment necessary for production
• Component de-burring, marking and traceability.
• Apply and improve quality system to ISO-9001 operated within the company

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with the machining process from the start of this new direction for Pressure Tech, and build on future opportunities within the company. We are looking for a dynamic candidate to help ensure the smooth transition of our objectives. The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens control software
• Experience of live tooling and and Y axis operation on Twin spindle lathes
• Experience with VMC with 4th axis.
• Experience in machining 316SS and NPT threads.
• Ability to maximize running time and efficiency of machines
• Good team player with lateral thinking approach to providing solutions.
